Dr. Deepa Takhar has been practicing for over 25 years and is devoted to providing each patient with all the necessary information and options available to them, prior to any procedures or treatments.
Dr. Takhar qualified at Manchester University in the UK. After her residency, she obtained experience and credentials in Pediatrics, Obstetrics, Gynecology, Psychiatry and Family Practice. She subsequently moved to Saskatchewan, Canada and while there she operated a family practice as well as a walk in Clinic. She also held a position as Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Saskatchewan and Queens University in Ottawa, and was actively involved in teaching medical students and residents. After obtaining further credentials in Cosmetic Dermatology, she moved to Ontario.
Dr. Takhar regularly keeps her medical knowledge updated by attending medical conferences and seminars. In the recent past, she has been a speaker at a dermatology conference and has been writing a regular column in a national magazine. She is actively involved in local charities and fundraising.
Hey, I’m Dr. Motiwala. Prior to joining Monark Medical, I practiced in the United States with a focus on Emergency Medicine, and have hospital privileges at Norfolk General Hospital in Simcoe. When I’m not helping patients, I enjoy spending time with my wife, beautiful baby, and keep busy doing home renovations. I look forward to seeing you.
Dr. Griffioen is an established and highly skilled family physician with over 25 years experience. Joining Monark Medical 5 years ago, he has a passion for helping people. When he isn’t at Monark, he enjoys his children, kayaking, camping, and is passionate about his faith. He has an interest in Marijuana Medicine and Virtual Health.
My name is Mario. It’s my privilege to be a part of your health care. I am a Canadian Certified Physician Assistant from the University of Toronto. I am a firm believer in preventive Medicine and laughter being the best Medicine.
I am an ex-military physician from Sri Lanka and have been living in Canada for 10 years.
My hobbies are aviation photography and skeet shooting.
Mary is one of the first welcoming voices you hear when making an appointment at Franklin Medical Centre. She completed a Business Administrative course at Trios College in 2010 and started working at the Franklin Medical Centre in August 2011 as a Scheduler/Switchboard Operator.
When Mary is not at work, she enjoys walks in the park, bird watching, and backyard barbecues with her friends and family.
Wendy graduated from Medix in 2012 in the MOA program with honours. She enjoys helping people and has always wanted to work in a family practice. She has spent many years being a stay at home mom and volunteering for home and school for eleven years. She has been a dedicated Girl Guide Leader for the past twenty years.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Charnjit started with Monark Medical in April. She has a degree in business and is a great asset to our clinic. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family watching movies and going to the park.
